Best for

Anyone who wants the biggest transformation: smoother texture, more even tone, softer-looking fine lines and a real glow.

Why choose it

Glo2 enhances your microneedling results. Oxfoliation preps and oxygenates the skin, Glo2’s ultrasound technology infuses GlyMed+ Micro Lift Serum and hyaluronic acid so they reach the layer where they do their work, and RF Firm + Lift from RF Pro gives your skin a firm foundation to build on. You get long-term change and a glow you can see right away.

Downtime + aftercare

a mild sunburn-like finish, typically for about 24 hours (sometimes up to 48), with temporary warmth, tightness or sensitivity, followed by possible light peeling.

What it is

Geneo Glo2, microneedling and RF Firm + Lift combined into one 75-minute treatment.

Who it’s for

Why you’ll love it

Glo2 enhances your microneedling results. Oxfoliation preps and oxygenates the skin, Glo2’s ultrasound technology infuses GlyMed+ Micro Lift Serum and hyaluronic acid so they reach the layer where they do their work, and RF Firm + Lift from RF Pro gives your skin a firm foundation to build on. What the research shows

FDA-cleared category

The U.S. FDA has cleared microneedling devices to improve the appearance of facial acne scars and facial wrinkles in adults 22 and older.

Better together

In a 2022 randomized split-face study, adding RF to microneedling led to greater measured improvement in wrinkles, skin elasticity and skin thickness than microneedling alone.

A strong safety record

A 2021 review of 85 studies in Dermatologic Surgery found microneedling relatively safe, with most side effects minor and gone within about a week.

Sources: U.S. FDA (2025); American Society for Dermatologic Surgery; Chu et al., Dermatologic Surgery (2021); Cheng et al., Frontiers in Medicine (2022). Individual results vary.

Your treatment

Everything in one visit

1

Glo2 Oxfoliation

A slight tingly, effervescent, bubbly feeling as your skin is exfoliated and oxygenated.

2

Microneedling

A professional pen creates tiny, controlled channels in your skin. Most clients feel light pressure and a gentle vibration.

3

RF Firm + Lift

A soothing warmth, like a warm massage, as RF Pro works beneath the surface to support collagen.

4

Infuse & protect

Gentle warmth as Glo2’s ultrasound infuses GlyMed+ Micro Lift Serum and hyaluronic acid, then soothing products and SPF.

How often?

I recommend a series of 3 treatments, about a month apart, at least once a year. Microneedling can be done as often as once a month, so you can keep going if you love what it does for your skin. NeedleGlo is my hero Results Series.

Before your treatment

  • Avoid tanning and sun exposure for 2 weeks before.
  • Come with clean skin.
  • At your Skin Story, I’ll tell you exactly which products to pause and when.

After your treatment

  • No makeup for 24 hours.
  • No heavy workouts or sweating for 24–48 hours.
  • Avoid swimming, saunas and steam rooms for a few days.
  • Skip retinol, AHAs, BHAs and other exfoliants for 1 week.
  • Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer, and wear SPF 30+ daily.
  • Don’t pick or rub your skin.

What to expect: a mild sunburn-like finish, typically for about 24 hours (sometimes up to 48), with temporary warmth, tightness or sensitivity, followed by possible light peeling.

Who it’s not for (right now)

Microneedling may not be right for you if you:

  • are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • have taken Accutane (isotretinoin) in the past 6 months
  • have a bleeding or clotting disorder, or take blood thinners (including low-dose aspirin)
  • have a weakened immune system, including from chemotherapy, radiation or steroids
  • have uncontrolled diabetes
  • have an active skin infection, rash, cold sore or acne breakout
  • have hepatitis or HIV
  • have eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo or an autoimmune condition
  • have a history of keloid scarring
  • have actinic keratoses, warts, or moles or birthmarks in the treatment area
  • have cancer
  • have tanned, or plan to be in the sun, within 2 weeks of your treatment
  • are allergic to stainless steel or numbing cream

Have a deeper skin tone? Microneedling can be a great option for you; I take extra care to protect against pigment changes.

Because this treatment includes RF Firm + Lift, please also tell me if you have a pacemaker or internal defibrillator, an implanted neurostimulator, metal implants in your face, or reduced or heightened sensitivity to heat.

Not sure? I review your full health history at your Skin Story to make sure this treatment is right for you. Microneedling services are available for clients 22 and older.

Based on U.S. FDA guidance (October 2025).

Planning around other treatments

  • Botox: 48 hours before or after
  • Filler: 1 week before or after
  • Chemical peels, lasers or microdermabrasion: 1 month before or after
